Anyone 18 or older who creates their own images: designers, illustrators, photographers and AI artists. Apply with your public name and a few examples of your work.
How long does it take to be approved?
We usually answer within a few days. You get an e-mail when your application is approved, and you can start uploading straight away.
Why do I have to verify my identity?
We compare a photo of your passport or ID card with a selfie before your account is approved, and payouts are only possible with a verified identity. This protects you and our customers from stolen accounts and copied work. The photos are private and only seen by our team.
What is my Contributor ID?
Your Contributor ID (for example PPC00012) is shown in Profile Settings. Please mention it whenever you write to us at [email protected].
Uploading files
Which files can I upload?
Transparent PNG images (at least 4 megapixels, clean edges, no background) and EPS vectors (EPS 10 is best, text converted to outlines). Each file can be up to 100 MB. The file type is detected from the file itself.
How many files can wait for review?
Up to 50 files can wait for review at the same time. When we have reviewed them you can send more.
How many keywords do I need?
Between 7 and 50 keywords in English, separated by commas. Use "Suggest keywords" for ideas. The keyword "vector" is removed automatically from PNG files, because a PNG is not a vector.
How is the category chosen?
When the title, description and keywords are filled in, we choose the category and subcategory for you. You can always change them.
Can I upload AI-generated images?
Yes, when you have the right to sell them and you tick "made with AI". AI images can not be sold as Exclusive. If the file contains AI generator data, it is marked as AI automatically.
What does Exclusive mean?
Exclusive files are sold only on PremiumPNG.com. You earn a higher share (35%), but you must not sell the same file anywhere else.
Review
Why was my file not accepted?
The reason is shown in My files › Not accepted, sometimes with a comment from our reviewer. Common reasons are low resolution, rough edges, a background that is not transparent, missing releases, logos or wrong keywords.
Can I fix a file and send it again?
Yes, when the problem is the title, keywords, AI label or the release. The file then appears in My files › Reminder with a "Fix & send again" button - correct the details and send the same file again.
How long are files that were not accepted kept?
Files that were not accepted are deleted automatically after 7 days.
Can I delete a file?
You can delete a file while it is still in review. Published files can not be removed by you, because customers may already have a licence - write to us if a file must be taken down.
Model & property releases
When do I need a release?
When a recognizable person (model release) or private property such as a building, artwork, pet or product (property release) is shown. Without a signed release the file can not be accepted.
How do I get a release signed?
Open Releases › Create a release. The person signs online with a finger or mouse - by e-mail or in person on your device - and the signed PDF is made for you. You can also print a blank release, sign it on paper and upload it as one PDF (max 10 MB).
Do customers see the release?
Customers who download an image with a release get one ZIP file with the image and the release PDF. The personal details are only used to prove the permission.
Earnings & payouts
How much do I earn?
You get 15% of every single-image sale (35% for Exclusive files) and $0.10 the first time a subscriber downloads one of your images.
When can I get paid?
Earnings become available 30 days after the sale (time for refunds). From $25.00 you can request a payout in Earnings.
How am I paid?
Payouts are sent with Stripe to your bank account, in your own currency, in more than 100 countries.
Do I have to fill in a tax form?
Contributors outside the United States fill in short tax details (W-8BEN) once, before the first payout. You declare your income in your own country.
Account
Can I change my portfolio address?
Your portfolio address (premiumpng.com/contributor/...) can be chosen once and is then locked, so links you shared keep working. Write to us if you really need a change.
Why is my account suspended?
The reason is shown at the top of your portal and in the e-mail we sent. While suspended you can not upload, change your profile or request payouts, but your published images stay online and keep earning. Use "Request a review" if you think it is a mistake.
How do I contact the contributor team?
Write to [email protected] and mention your Contributor ID. We answer as soon as possible.
